If there’s anyone that deserves to be celebrated now more than ever, it’s our mamas! I wish I could be with my own this year, but we’ll be quarantining separately – me here in Austin and her back home in Kansas City. So to make sure she feels special, I’ll be sending her some extra love from afar.
While I know most moms ask for absolutely nothing other than a phone call or a simple card, it’s always nice to treat them to a little something fun.
If you’re in need of some inspiration for what to get your own mama, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite Mother’s Day gift ideas she’ll be sure to love.
Just click the photos below to shop the goodies!
Assouline Coffee Table Books
While these are one of my all-time favorite gifts for any occasion, if there’s anyone who will appreciate a lovely coffee table book, it’s likely your mother. Be sure to check out their site for a wide variety of books for whatever your mama’s interests are.
Nothing brightens the day more than a beautiful arrangement, right? Randy Neal Floral Design and The Little Flower Shop are my top picks in Kansas City (my hometown) while Westbank Flower Market is my go-to here in Austin.
Harry & David Mother’s Day Gift Baskets
Harry & David pears are famous for a reason – everyone adores them! Plus, these pre-curated gift baskets make it easy to pack all of the good stuff in one order. Throw in a bottle of wine and some cute treats, and your mom will truly be in heaven.
Spa Day Gift Certificates
These times have been stressful for everyone, especially all the mamas out there juggling more than usual. Give them something to look forward to once their favorite spa opens back up (hopefully soon – fingers crossed!).
Is there anything cuter? Nice pjs are one of those things we rarely buy for ourselves, making them one of the most appreciated gifts out there. Lunya, Eberjey and Piyama all make adorable, comfy pajamas (click the photos below) that might entice you to sneak a matching set for yourself into that shopping cart 😉 .
JSH Home Essentials Baskets & Gifts
A cute little something for the home is always the sweetest gift. You could even fill the baskets below with some of your mom’s favorite things to make it an even more personal.
For my KC friends, be sure to check out their new shop in Westwood Hills between Annedore’s Chocolates and The Little Flower Shop!
Whether or not your mom is a master chef, I think we’re all looking for some inspiration in the kitchen these days. Click below to check out a few of my personal favorites!
Weezie Towel Set
These towels are truly like wrapping yourself up in a cloud – she’ll truly never want anything else from now on. Pick from a variety of colors and even custom embroider with your mama’s initial.
Mark & Graham Commute Leather Card Case
Because anything personalized is automatically a million times cuter, no? Mix and match your mom’s favorite colors for a little reminder of you in her purse at all times.
At-Home Spa Necessities
Just because she’s stuck at home doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve a little self care – the opposite is true! Make your mom feel like a ~queen~ with a few DIY spa items.
At the end of the day, nothing beats a heartfelt sentiment that you actually took the time to jot down. Paper Source always has a great variety of high-quality cards, and though most stores are still closed for the time being, you can luckily still snag one online.
